New logo: Independent Publishers Group


Independent Publishers Group (IPG) is a book distributor in the United States, headquartered in Chicago, which markets titles from smaller independent publishers. On May 6 it revealed a new logo it revealed a new logo ahead of its 40th anniversary celebration in June. The new logo was created by SX2, also from Chicago.

The previous logo was introduced in 2000 and contained a stylized representation of an open book. This image is now considered outdated, partly because the company now distributes more things than print books. The company is usually known by its initials inside the industry, and the new logo shows the initials using letters in different colors from different typefaces.
