New logo: Presidio Bank

Presidio Bank is a business bank for the Bay Area in California. It was founded in 2006 and is headquartered in San Francisco. On May 12, it unveiled a new logo.

I would not have written about this logo, had it not been for the fact that it was designed by John Casado. He was behind the late 70s design of the Esprit logo, which is still used today, the first Macintosh "Picasso" logo from the 80s (with Tom Hughes) and the logo for New Line Cinema.

"The new geometric logo in burnished gold tones was designed by John Casado, who also created the first Macintosh logo, as well as marks for Esprit and New Line Cinema. The design, incorporating a square and a cross, conveys the “strength, stability and holistic relationships our customers seek from their bank,” said Steve Heitel, president and CEO of Presidio Bank. “We wanted something timeless, strong and versatile, and John achieved that.”" - Presidio Bank press release
The typeface chosen is Trajan, with a slight modification on the E.
