New logo: Coutts
The UK private banking business Coutts, which traces its origins back to the 17th century, launched a new corporate identity at the beginning of October. Until now, the wealth management division of the Royal Bank of Scotland has used the Coutts name in the United Kingdom, while its Switzerland-based international business has been known as RBS Coutts. After the international bank dropped the RBS prefix on November 1, they are now gathered under a single corporate identity.
The logo has been simplified and modernised, but keeps its royal and classical associations by retaining the three crowns and an elegant script typeface.
