New logo: Dajto
Dajto is a new TV channel from the Slovak commercial broadcaster Markíza that targets male viewers with action, adrenaline, humour, suspense, sports and entertainment (and plenty of scantily clad women, if the website is to be believed). Launched on August 20, it complements Markíza's female-targeting channel Doma, and is a Slovak version of Czech channel Fanda, launched by Markíza's parent company in July.
As I've understood it, the name means "give it". The sharp-edged logo is black, red and yellow. The triangular theme and the colour scheme runs through most of the on-air applications as well.

New look: Jednotka and Dvojka
![]() | ![]() |
Jednotka and Dvojka, the two TV channels operated by Slovakia's state broadcaster RTVS, were rebranded yesterday, March 1, with new logos and graphics. The new look was created by the Slovakian creative studio Milk in collaboration with RTVS' in-house creative centre.
When coming up with the new graphics, the creators wanted to set RTVS apart from Slovakia's commercaal channels. They avoided images of celebrities or unknown models, and also didn't want to jump on the bandwagon and use 3D graphics, which are very common in Slovakia. Milk opted for "flat" graphics with a range of bright colours. ID spots feature ordinary everyday objects that should evoke fond memories.
Dvojka is the company's secondary complementary channel with programmes for different tastes. It relies on a black and white contrast.
The distinctive feature in the new channel logos is a colon, which is also present in the corporate logo.

New logo: Mola and Tento
Tento and Mola are two consumer brands for "hygiene tissue" (paper towels, toilet paper and handkerchiefs) sold in Central Europe and owned by the Finnish hygiene paper company MetsäTissue. Mola is used in Poland and Russia, while Tento can be found in Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary. Some months ago, probably during the summer, both introduced a new look.
During the last couple of years, the two brands have used a common packaging design and similar logos with a daisy flower sprouting up behind the wordmark. The daisy has been Mola's symbol for several years, and its last iteration was adopted in 2008. Tento adopted the daisy in 2009 when it aligned itself with Mola's branding. Before this, the two names had independent brand designs.
This latest rebrand ties Tento and Mola closer to the brand platform used by the similar Serla brand in the Nordic countries. The creepy squirrels that signify Serla are now also used by Tento and Mola on packaging and in advertising. Although they haven't adopted Serla's leaf logo, the updated logos feature a leaf-like background plate.
