New logo: Klépierre


Klépierre is a French company that invests in commercial real estate, including shopping centres and office space. Yesterday, January 24, it announced a new corporate identity, created with Interbrand Paris.

The exercise brings all fully owned companies in the concern under the Klépierre name, most notably the shopping centre division that until now has been known as Ségécé. The new icon is a "highly architectural" K.

New logo: Intu


Capital Shopping Centres is UK real estate company that operates fifteen shopping centres around the UK. Yesterday, January 15, it was announced that the company would change its name to "Intu", creating a new national brand. The shopping centres, that until now have been branded independently, will also be taking the Intu name in May.

The new visual identity was also unveiled yesterday. It features a bird icon in the new orange and black signature colours. Landor Associates were reportedly involved in this project.

New logo: BioMed Realty


BioMed Realty Trust builds, own and operates real estate for the life sciences industry in the United States. Two months ago, on August 8, it unveiled a new visual identity, created by Siegel+Gale.

The new logo contains a nice monogram in the form of the company's initials BMR, designed to resemble a helix.

New logo: Raine & Horne


On Wednesday, September 12, the major Australian real estate firm Raine & Horne launched a completely new corporate identity, created by the branding agency IdeaWorks.

At the center of the new look is a friendly wordmark and a gold-grey colour scheme. "Gold is warm and optimistic and ignites passion and represents the leadership Raine & Horne takes in the real estate industry", says Kit Bashford who is a communications manager at the global firm.

The "unique hand-crafted bespoke" ampersand is central in the new identity, and can be used as a stand-alone identifier or visual device.

Akademiska Hus (2010)


Akademiska Hus is a Swedish state-owned enterprise, created in 1993 to administer real estate for Swedish universities. If you are studying in Sweden, it is very likely that your classes take place in a building rented from this company.

On March 31, 2010, the company launched a new visual identity. It was a product of a new brand platform that was developed with Forsman & Bodenfors, and the visual identity was created by their design agency Happy F&B.

In addition to the puzzle piece logo, Happy created a "visual toolbox" with typefaces, graphical devices and imagery that should help the company communicate its core values, "expert, active partner and future-oriented".

According to the company, it had used previous logo since its foundation in 1993. The rebrand was revealed through a press release on March 25, 2010, and launched on March 31.
