Many tech sites are reporting that Microsoft's mobile operating system Windows Phone is getting an updated logo. The round button it has used until now is being replaced by a square, still with the current Windows icon inside it. The new logo is being launched as a part of a new version of the operating system called Windows Phone 7.5, codenamed Mango.
So far, there doesn't seem to be any official confirmation from Microsoft. PC Magazine are reporting that the new logo first appeared in a blog post from Shinobu Takahashi, a Microsoft evangelist in Tokyo, posted on July 31.
